Our very first vintage ‘White From Black’ is a Silver Medal Winner in the ‘Wines of Great Britain’ Awards 2020
We have had fantastic feedback from those who have tried it already and from the local community, and we are proud to say this has been reciprocated nationally in the Wines Of Great Britain Awards, putting it amongst the finest wines in the country.
To give you a little history on our wines, Will Boscawen planted his vineyards in Wateringbury in 2016, in the perfect spot on the south facing slopes of the Kent downs. A year later, he transformed the old oast at Brewer’s Hall, Mereworth, into a winery. Here, alongside wine-maker Scott Gebbie, Will converts all the hard work on the vineyard into exceptional sparkling wine, which has travelled no more than a mile in its production. We are instilled with a passion for our vineyards, our grapes and for fine wine-making; pouring our love, and a lot of hard work, into the land around us to create some truly beautiful wine.
Mereworth Wines’ ‘White From Black 2018’ is its first ever vintage; a traditional English white sparkling wine made from black Pinot grapes. This medium-dry and elegant sparkling wine is celebratory of its roots in the Garden of England, and produced entirely by Will and Scott.
With your continued support, our first vintage marks the beginning of a long and exciting journey crafting deliciously enchanting wine from our Kent vineyard. The next addition to the family will be our ‘White From White’, set to be released later this year, made from our Chardonnay grapes.
