“For me, Mereworth Pink is not simply a pink white wine, but rather a wine that embodies the character and structure of a pinot noir” – Founder, William Boscawen

“We focus on the craft of an exceptionally high quality still pinot noir in its own right, and that brings so much more than just colour to our pink. We do not shy away from the texture, body and smooth tannin structure that this wine brings to the blend ” – Head Winemaker, Scott Gebbie

Mereworth Pink is made from a blend of Estate grown Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier from a single vintage. This wine is intended to be both fun and fruity yet luxurious and bold. Through meticulous winemaking to preserve freshness and aroma in the base wines and by being confident in our blends, delicacy and freshness is paired with exuberance and power.

Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay are the holy trinity of varieties in sparkling wine making which prosper on the slopes of the Greensand Ridge. Chardonnay brings the crisp back bone to the wine, Pinot Noir the structure and fruit, and Pinot Meunier a delicate aroma which evolves so gracefully.

Tasting notes

A celebration of the trilogy of grapes we grow. Our Pink is pale salmon in colour with golden hues. English hedgerow fruit aromas combine with rich and juicy berry and stone fruit flavours on the palate, lifted by a smooth effervescence. It was important to us to bring the complexity of a still Pinot Noir wine into our Pink, not only for the colour but for the depth of flavour. This tastefully textural Pink is a testament to the ripeness of grapes at harvest.

On The Nose – Fruits of the forest and elderflower

On the palate - Summer berries and stone fruits with hints of morello cherry and red grapefruit

On the plate – Pairs with light game meats and salmon, English trifles or strawberries & cream
