The Winemaker Tour includes:
A welcome glass of Mereworth Sparkling Wine
Tasting samples of current vintage or reserve wines, poured directly from tanks or barrels in the winery
A guided tasting flight of our current wine releases
A tasting of our Oak-Aged Gin and Marourde Aperitif
Your choice of a charcuterie or cheese board, served after the tour
Designed for small groups, with a maximum of 8 guests per tour.

A Winemaker Tour will involve a tour with Scott Gebbie, who has been making sparkling wine at Mereworth since 2018, with this year being his ninth harvest. He has a wealth of both viticulture and winemaking experience in both southern and northern hemisphere at varying sizes of wineries. A Masters in oenology from Montpellier University means that at Mereworth he is a complete ‘safe pair of hands’ curating our Classic Method English Sparkling Wine from grapes grown in our vineyards a mile away, cultivated on the free draining soil of the Greensand Ridge.
The Wine Tour will involve an Introduction to Mereworth Wines and the rich history of Brewers Hall Oast. This will be followed with a tour of the winery, where production will be explained, the fine art of blending, ageing and disgorging, effectively the Champagne process and you’ll get to taste samples from Vat. After the winery tour there’ll be a tutored tasting of our three cuvees plus our Gin and Maroude aperitif. After the Wine Tour you’ll be able to enjoy a charcuterie and cheese board from local suppliers, in the café at Brewers Hall Oast.
