Mereworth Exceptional English Sparkling Wine – White From Black
Our first ever vintage. A traditional English white sparkling wine made from our black Pinot grapes.
We are honoured to share with you our first ever vintage.
Grown in our beloved vineyards, perfectly positioned on the South facing slopes of the Kent Downs in Wateringbury, our grapes travel only a mile to our winery in Mereworth. Here, from all the muddy toil on the vineyard, we have crafted something truly beautiful.
2018 was a fantastic year, and you can taste it. Such was the quality of this vintage, that we believe the time is right for this bottle to pass from our home to yours.
From our black Pinot grapes, we have produced a white sparkling wine, elegant and celebratory of its roots in the Garden of England, and produced entirely by two people; wine-maker Scott Gebbie, and myself, William Boscawen.
7 Mile Compounded Gin
A smooth, dry gin with floral notes
Produced with the time-honoured compounding technique, Seven Mile Gin is infused with botanicals inspired by the fertile heritage which surrounds Brewer’s Hall, creating a dry, balanced gin with floral notes. It pairs perfectly with a Marourde Spritz, or simply with a splash of tonic.
7 Mile Winter Gin
A heart-warming companion to our Seven Mile Gin, our handmade Sloe Gin layers luscious plum and Winter hedgerow flavours.
The perfect warming tipple on a cold evening. Best served neat.
Gently carbonated, crisp and refreshing cider made from 100% Kentish apples
Here in Kent we are blessed with fantastic orchards right on our doorstep. When you are lucky enough to be surrounded by the bounty of the Garden Of England, we know it makes no sense to make things too complicated.
Keeping it simple, our gently sparkling Budburst Cider is made entirely from Kentish apples and we make sure we leave them to do the talking. Bright, crisp, and perfect straight from the fridge.
An Indian Pale Ale packed full of hop flavours, perfectly balanced with a hint of citrus
It’s time for our hops to shine… Not too long ago, Brewer’s Hall Oast stored hops from the surrounding farms, which were pressed here and transported around the country to go into some of England’s finest beers. We are bringing the hops back to Brewer’s Hall, and using them to craft our own IPA right in that very same oast.
Our Indian Pale Ale packs a really hoppy punch, full-flavoured and with a bitter finish, which is complemented perfectly with citrus notes.
